For each occasion you cook for family and friends you now have the facility to record details which may be helpful in the future. It’s up to you what you wish to add, but here are some suggestions:
Recipes selected
Menus
Guest lists
Guests’ likes and dislikes or allergies
Accompaniments served
Wines or drinks
In this way, you can keep your own ‘diary’ of each occasion you host. It’s completely private to you to so that you can remember all those little details.
Make a note of which themes you’ve used for children’s parties, what you supplied in party bags, what games you played and which Quality Standard kids’ recipes were a big hit.
Ring the changes at your barbecues by keeping a note of which salads, dips, sauces and sizzling beef and lamb dishes you served.
Then add your own private ‘host or hostess’ notes so that you’ll recall which combination of guests worked well, what you would change next time – even what you wore!
