Spiced Honey Chops

Serves: 4 Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 8 minutes

A quick and tasty mix of aromatic honey, spiced with ginger, garlic and chilli to tantalise your taste buds

Ingredients

  • 8 lean lamb cutlets or chops
  • 90ml/6tbsp runny honey
  • 1cm/½inch piece fresh root ginger, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and finely chopped
  • 30ml/2tbsp soy sauce
  • 1.25ml/¼tsp dried chilli flakes
  • Salt and freshly milled black pepper
  • 15ml/1tbsp oil

Method

  1. In a large bowl mix together the honey, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, chilli flakes and oil. Season.
  2. Place 8 lean lamb cutlets or chops onto a baking tray and brush with the sauce on both sides.
  3. Grill under a moderate heat for 6-8 minutes on each side, basting occasionally with any remaining sauce.
  4. Serve the cutlets with any remaining sauce and stir fried noodles and vegetables.
