Welcome to the teacher’s zone for the Make it with Mince Challenge 2013. This FREE to enter competition is designed to engage, educate and inspire students in Key Stage 3 and 4 (age 11 – 16) to get cooking and appreciate the importance of good nutrition and quality ingredients.

With content designed to suit the new GCSE Food Technology National Curriculum, the competition aims to:

  • Motivate your students with a chance to meet James Martin and win some fantastic prizes
  • Build their confidence by encouraging them to work with a familiar ingredient
  • Expand their knowledge by teaching them about budgeting and getting them thinking about where their food comes from.
