Royal up your BBQ Instagram competition - this competition has now closed

Share with us your ultimate burger stack. Post a picture to your personal Instagram account of your lamb or beef burger stack. Make sure you include the hashtag #RoyalUpYourBBQ and tag us @SimplyBeefandLamb and you could win a BBQ. 

Terms & Conditions    

How to Enter     

1.1.  To take part in the competition, entrants will need to:  

1. post a photograph to their personal Instagram account of a burger stack. For example, a photograph of a lamb burger with other fillings inside a bun.  The burger must be a lamb or beef burger.
2. include the hashtag #RoyalUpYourBBQ and tag @Simplybeefandlamb
3. post their photograph by 12.00 noon, Tuesday 31 May 2022.

1.2 A shortlist of four photographs will be selected at random from the valid entries. These four shortlisted photographs will be taken into the next round of selection. A new post will be created using the four shortlisted photographs and posted on the SimplyBeefandLamb Instagram account on Wednesday 8 June. Each photograph will be numbered (1, 2, 3 or 4).  People will be asked to ‘vote’ for their favourite of the four burger stacks photographs by commenting underneath the post with the photograph number.  

One Instagram account can only vote once, multiple votes will not be counted. If the same Instagram account votes multiple times only the first comment (by time and date) will be considered valid. 

The photograph with the highest number of ‘votes’ at 12 noon, Wednesday 15 June 2022 will be considered to be the winning photograph.  If more than one photograph receives the same highest number of 'votes' when the competition closes the winner will be randomly chosen using a computerised system. 

When to enter and who can enter      

2.1. The competition closes at 12 noon on Wednesday 15 June 2022    

2.2. Entrants can enter between 27 May and 12 noon, Tuesday 31 May 2022       

2.3. One entry per Instagram account is allowed (no multiple entries). If the same Instagram account posts multiple entries only the first entry (determined by date and time) will be eligible as long as that first entry has been correctly submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions        

2.4. This competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. Internet access is required.   

2.5. The competition is open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, excluding employees and agents of the Promoter and their immediate families and household members and anyone professionally connected with the administration of the competition 

Prize     

3.1.   The prize for the winner of the competition will be one barbecue      

3.2.  The Promoter reserves the right to replace any of the prizes with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so     

3.3.  The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered  

3.4.  The Promoter is not responsible for prizes that are lost or stolen in the post     

3.5.  The winner will be notified via Instagram within two working days of the closing date. A public message will be posted congratulating the winner on winning the competition. The winner must claim their prize by 12 noon, Monday 20 June by sending a direct message to the SimplyBeefandLamb Instagram account. If no direct message is received the prize is unclaimed after this time and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to the next runner-up, this being the entrant who submitted the photograph with the next highest number of votes. The process will be repeated until the prize is claimed      

3.6.  The Promoter will cover the P&P of the prize    

Data Protection and Publicity      

4.1. Any personal data relating to participants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation. By entering the competition, you agree that the Promoter may contact you in relation to the competition     

4.2. The competition winner will be contacted by the SimplyBeefandLamb Instagram account.  On being contacted, the winner will be asked to provide their name, telephone number and postal address in order to send their prize      

4.3.   The Promoter’s decisions regarding all promotional matters will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into     

4.4 Details of the prize winner's first name, county and country will be available for one month after the close of this competition by writing to [email protected]  

Competition Rules     

5.1. The competition will be run and the prize will be awarded at the sole discretion of the Promoter     

5.2. The four photographs that will be shortlisted randomly from all entries correctly submitted in accordance with these terms and conditions using a computerised system and they will be put through to the second stage for the public vote   

5.3 Copyright and permissions: By submitting an photograph for this competition, each entrant confirms and warrants that:  

• they are the sole author of the photograph and it is their original work  
• they own the copyright of the photograph and they do not infringe the copyright or other rights of any third party or laws  
• they have permission of anyone pictured in the photograph (or, where the photograph shows any persons under 18, the consent of their parent/guardian) and that they have been advised of the purpose of the submission  
• they have not licensed or disposed of any rights in the photograph that would conflict with entering this competition  
• they have received any necessary permissions from the owner(s) of objects including buildings included in submitted photographs for the usage rights required to enter this competition on Instagram and required by the Promoter and will indemnify the Promoter against any claims made by any third parties in respect of such infringement.     

5.4.  The Promoter reserves the right to check the validity of the entries       

5.5. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry into the competition      

5.6. The Promoter reserves the right to change the competition rules and these Terms and Conditions from time to time. If we do so, we will always have the most up to date terms and conditions on the Website and in the case of a discrepancy between these terms and conditions and those on the Website, the Website terms and conditions will apply.      

5.7 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram   

5.8. By entering the competition each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions 

Liability and Indemnities        

6.1. AHDB and its associated companies and agents and distributors exclude responsibility and all liabilities, whether direct or indirect, arising from:    
6.1.1. Any postponement or cancellation of the competition;    
6.1.2. Any changes to, supply of or use of the Prize; and    
6.1.3. Any act or default of any supplier, which are beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control    

 6.2. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any liability arising from problems relating to the internet, or technical difficulties of any kind     

6.3. The Promoter shall not be liable for loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, loss of goods, loss of use, loss or corruption of data or information, or any special, indirect, consequential or pure economic loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses    

6.4. You agree to indemnify the Promoter and Instagram against all liabilities, claims and expenses that may arise from any breach of this agreement      

6.5. No responsibility can be accepted for any entries that cannot be made, are incomplete, corrupted, delayed or not received for any reason whatsoever  

6.6. The Promoter reserves the right to remove an entry or comment that is threatening, abusive, harassing or invasive of a person’s privacy; sexist, racist, profane, blasphemous, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory and/or offensive; promotes violence or advocate, condone, or assist any unlawful act; describe violent intentions towards other people or organisations; is pornographic, sexually explicit, obscene, or lewd; is used to impersonate any person or to misrepresent the participant’s identity    

Jurisdiction     

7.1. The Competition and these Terms and Conditions are governed by English Law. England & Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim that arises out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions.
