Ingredients

  • 2 lean beef sirloin steaks (around 225g each)
  • 1-2 teaspoons rapeseed oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 30g butter
  • To serve:

  • Prepared peppercorn or steak sauce of your choice
  • Your favourite chips or fries
  • Green salad

Method

  1. Remove the steaks from the fridge at least 20 minutes before cooking to bring up to room temperature.  
  2. Brush the steaks with a little oil and season generously with salt and pepper.  
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C for a few minutes.
  4. Place the steaks into the basket, with half the butter on top of each steak
  5. Cook the steaks in the air fryer for 8 minutes (for medium). 
  6. Remove the steaks from the air fryer, loosely cover with foil, and rest for a few minutes. 
  7. Serve your steaks with your favourite chips (we used skinny), steak sauce and a green salad.

Air fryers do vary so adjust the cooking time according to your appliance handbook.
