To Cook Rare: 2½ minutes on each side

To Cook Medium: 4 minutes on each side

To Cook Well Done: 6 minutes on each side

Ingredients

  • 4 x 175g/6oz lean flat-iron steaks
  • For the Oriental Marinade

  • :60ml/4tbsp light soy sauce
  • 100ml/3½floz medium sherry
  • 30ml/2tbsp runny honey
  • 15ml/1tbsp sesame oil
  • 30ml/2tbsp prepared minced ginger (available in jars)
  • 3 large garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
  • 2.5ml/½tsp dried chilli flakes
  • Freshly milled black pepper
